Intro
What can you do with Freedompro API? Thanks to the Freedompro API it is possible to make third parties systems and devices communicate with all our products, without using Google, Apple or Amazon Alexa, so that you can develop innovative apps or systems tailored to your specific needs.
The content of our information is a JSON kind, Content-Type: application/json. In particular, we send and receive information in JSON.
To clear all doubts, we created a glossary that helps you understand all the specific terms used.
Glossary
Device: is an hardware component combined with your Freedompro profile and connected to your home automation system (e.g. Easykon or Light Module)
Accessories: are the items configured within the Freedompro devices (e.g. lights, window covering)
Status: is the value of the accessory (e.g. light is on, window covering at 50%)
Authorization
All requests require an access token that can be created in your Freedompro account settings. Be careful to keep access tokens confidential as they allow remote access to your devices.
In order to be able to authenticate, you need to log in to your Freedompro profile from Freedompro app, go to your profile page and generate your personal API KEY. The key can be deleted or regenerated in order to increase the safety level.
Rate limits
Each access token is limited to 300 requests every 5 minutes, however this may change in the future. If you exceed the allowed number of requests, you will receive a status code 429 “Too Many Requests”.
